Mother

You are an angel to me, nurturing and taking care of me
Oh! Mother, God made you great and sent heaven to me

I slept in your lap, took your finger in my hand
You gave a comfort which no one can comprehend
My shelter you are, my care taker you are
Oh! Mother, God made you great and sent heaven to me

You taught me lessons of the life
When I went wrong you made me cry
But only you were there to correct me
Let me know what was appropriate to me
Oh! Mother, God made you great and sent heaven to me

You taught me how to have soup with a spoon
Your wisdom to me was splendid and a boon
Curry you made still makes me sip my tongue
Was eager to get out of the school when bell was rung
Oh! Mother, God made you great and sent heaven to me

You answered to my weird question
You consoled me and took off all my tensions
You encouraged me when I fell off my ladder
I owe my soul to you, you are my bearer
Oh! Mother, God made you great and sent heaven to me

It makes me shiver, makes me quiver
When I think of parting from you, body which is without the liver
Cannot imagine the world without you
The comfort, the effort the only love which is true
Oh! Mother, God made you great and sent heaven to me

I will be lost in despair, I’ll shatter into fragments
But He has considered me for such a boon
I felt always like within a cocoon
Truly, my mother is a sent heaven to me
Oh! Mother, God made you great and sent heaven to me
